Our client currently boasts a growing international network of design and manufacturing facilities across China, Asia Pacific, North America and South Africa, employing a global workforce of over 1,500 people. Our client will be establishing their Thailand operations in the beginning of 2009 to be based at the Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate Rayong, employing over 400 staff and are currently seeking qualified candidates in a range of functions for this new plant set-up.

INDUSTRIAL SEWING MACHINE MECHANIC - NEW AUTOMOTIVE FACTORY SET-UP

RAYONG - EASTERN SEABOARD INDUSTRIAL ESTATE

Salary: 15,000-25,000 Baht

Responsibilities:

·         Ensure the maintenance of the Industrial Sewing machinery is maintained to optimum levels.

·         Maintain all aspects of our clients' machinery ensuring all necessary regulations are followed and inspections conducted

·         Maximize uptime of all the industrial sewing machinery, establishing and monitoring KPI's to measure performance

·         Establishing and maintaining preventive maintenance programs and training all operators on best practice procedures.

·         Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in an Engineering field, ideally: Industrial or Mechanical Engineering

·         Track record of developing new processes and solving problems

·         Experience in maintenance of Industrial Sewing Machinery, from the automotive and/or shoe, textile industries.

·         Preferably experience in repairing and maintaining industrial sewing machines. (ie. Durkopp Adler, Pffaf, Juki, Singer, Seiko, etc.)

·         Experience in grinding sewing machine feet down to make suitable for certain operations.

·          Running a suitable preventative maintenance scheme, which adheres to TS16949 or a similar quality management system is highly desirable.

·          producing guides (soldering or welding) to suit certain operations. (ie. A particular shape of a retainer.)

·         Experience in connecting and disconnecting sewing machines (electrical and air)

·         Experience in constructing the trunking for sewing lines/cells

·         Proven team working skills

·         Fair to Good level of English language

·         Strong ability to meet deadlines developing innovative problem fixes when required
